The Pacific International Maritime and Naval Exposition welcomes the attendance and participation of the Australian and international media.

Event media accreditation is a necessary pre-requisite.

In 2006 the event played host to more than a hundred journalists and news gathers from ten countries.

They represented a variety of media outlets:

  • Domestic mainstream media (TV, radio, newspaper)
  • Finance and business publications
  • Domestic and international naval and defence specific publications
  • Domestic and international commercial maritime publications
  • Trade and professional journals and newsletters
  • Industry-based electronic information services

Visiting media are hosted at the Pacific Media Centre located within the main exhibition halls and with easy access to all exhibitors, displays and conferences.
In effect, accredited journalists may use the Media Centre as a base for the duration of the event.

Here they will find telephones, desks and internet connections at their disposal.
The Media Centre will also be a distribution point for media releases issued by the major organisations taking part in the Expo and its associated conference programme.

The helpful Media Centre staff will facilitate introductions, where requested, and help with story ideas and photo opportunities.

Media kits will be issued to all visiting journalists from the Media Centre.

Light lunch will be offered daily to accredited news gatherers as will refreshments throughout the fore-noon and post-noon periods.
