Trade Visitors are also welcome to attend, free of charge, the PACIFIC 2008 International Maritime Exposition, which will be held over four industry-only trade days from Tuesday to Friday (29 January to 1 February) at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour. The Exposition is open from 1000hrs to 1600hrs daily (Tuesday to Thursday) and from 1000hrs to 1500hrs (Friday).

The Global Maritime Defence Business Briefings are a unique forum to hear presentations on potential business opportunities. They are an essential event for Australian companies seeking business in the naval defence sector.

Co-presented by the Department of Innovation Industry Science and Research and the Defence Materiel Organisation, the Global Business Briefings at PACIFIC 2008 are hosted by Maritime Australia Limited to promote Australian defence industry capabilities, to encourage export development and to facilitate engagement by Australian SMEs with global supply chains.

The PACIFIC 2008 International Maritime Exposition will present the latest in commercial maritime and naval defence technology from around the world, bringing together key industry, defence and government decision-makers and professionals from Australia and overseas. The fifth show in this biennial series of international industry exhibitions, PACIFIC 2008 is the essential commercial maritime and naval defence event for the Asia Pacific region.

GLOBAL MARITIME DEFENCE BUSINESS BRIEFING PROGRAM

The PACIFIC 2008 Global Maritime Defence Business Briefings (and Breakfast) will be held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre Darling Harbour on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (30 January, 31 January and 1 February) from 0730hrs until 0945hrs daily.
